Our tour was led by Shawn, absolutely incredible, it was amazing to learn so much about Wolfs and their behavior and adaptations. This is fun for all age groups!
What an amazing place! Even on a cold and rainy day. The guides are great, and the wolves are special. Remember it is about conservation so you will only get near 2 ambassador wolves, but the stories and the mission will capture your attention. Even the young kids were entranced.
Great experience for a group of us, including adults and teens. The information session was led by Jared ( I think?), who did a fantastic job. He clearly is passionate about his job, was very informative and very patient with questions from people of all ages (even little kids who raised their hand just to report the weight of their dog at home). We learned a lot about the center and about the efforts to save wolves from extinction around the country - a cause they are well tied into. Fascinating learning about the process to release wolves into the wild and boost the population of certain types of wolves that are near extinction. Fyi...You are guaranteed to see 2 wolves who are there for educational purposes and come close for some raw meat treats from the guide, but other wolves are TBD based on where they are at the time. We did see some. Our whole group was really glad we visited!
It was a phenomenal experience. You will walk away loving wolves. Fantastic staff too! Took my family. We were able to see all three types of wolves at the WCC. We were lucky! So can you. Go visit. Very rewarding.
Such an incredible experience! Our youngest loves wolves so we chose to do the Sleeping with Wolves overnight camp out. Colin, Dana and Alex were amazing hosts. Extremely knowledgeable and passionate. The entire program was run very smoothly and not on a really strict schedule, but there was plenty to do and see at all times. There are only 6 4-person tents so it's not an overwhelming crowd even when fully booked (which our night was). We were able to get very close to a few of the wolves and if not for the safety rules very likely could have touched some! We were able to get the wolves howling and see them jump for some snacks. There are 3 Ambassador wolves in the 1st enclosure (all siblings), then further down were 2 red wolves. And still further back are 2 Mexican grey wolves. We were only able to see 1 of those because they had a newer den that they were loving. Apparently they have 24 hr trail cams that you can view inside their dens and enclosures. There are 33 wolves in total and at times you could hear them all howling and calling out to each other, but you only have the opportunity to see 7. Throughout the night we could hear them howling and upon waking up between 615 and 630 am they seemed to do a roll call and all howled for a while. We learned so much and will continue to support their conservation and education efforts and hope to return someday (it's a 6 hour drive for us).
Our tour was led by Reagan, who was incredible. She was so knowledgeable about not only the wolves in the conservatory, but also about wolf research, studies, and stats in general. Super informative and receptive to all questions! I loved all her little stories about the wolves at their center. You could tell the staff really cares for these magnificent creatures. Hoping that more people will help support their causes! Will be returning hopefully for their Sleeping with Wolves program over the summer. Highly recommend for science trips, spots to take kids, and for any wolf lover to visit. Well worth your time.
Great time here learning about the wolves, such beautiful animals! Joe the tour guide was very personable and knowledgeable. Would definitely return, very pleasant experience. Be ready for the walk up the driveway, no joke! Lol
What a remarkable experience. Everyone at the center is so friendly and knowledgeable, their programs are geared for all ages, and the work they are doing is so important. Getting to see the red wolf pair of Tyke & Lava was the highlight of the program.
